Bengaluru: Recognising the contribution of artists who have contributed to the Kannada music industry around the world, the third edition of the Kannada International Music Awards (KIMA) will be held in August this year. The awards for the music launched during January to December 2014 will be based on 15 categories.
From July 3 music lovers can long on to www.kima.co.in for voting their favorite artists. The nominees are shortlisted by KiMA’s Jury Panel which comprises some of the most respected and experienced one’s in the Music & Film industry. The jury members have shortlisted the nominees on the basis of 15 categories comprising around 28 awards in music.
Music Composers, Playback Singers, Lyricists, Technicians, Independent Artistes, Music Bands, DJ’s have participated from Film, Non-Film & Technical categories in KiMA Awards by registering online. The nominees are shortlisted after screening hundreds of entries sent during the registration period by the Jury Committee, and the winners will be decided on the basis of public voting online through www.kima.co.in.
Nominees for KiMA Awards 2015 have been announced on FACEBOOK.COM/KiMAAWARDS and voting has commenced from 3rd July in www.kima.co.in. After two successful seasons, KiMA moves into its 3rd season with a promising pool of artistes in its list of nominees.
A Kannada Indie Artiste Live Contest was held at a Mall in Mysore on Sunday 5th July 2015. The contest was held for the Independent Artist Category and Kannada Indie Artiste award for this Category will be announced during the KIMA 2015 ceremony which is scheduled on August 2, 2015 in Bangalore.
