Bengaluru: There is nothing wrong if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah contests from two constituencies. Moreover, this is a high-command decision. He will win from both the constituencies, said Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Addressing media persons at the KPCC office here on Sunday, Kharge questioned why no questions were raised when Prime Minister Modi contested from two constituency during Parliament polls.
“Out of fear of losing, the BJP is trying to make it an issue. In fact, the ticket was not distributed to MLA B B Chimmanakatti from Badami as he has some health problems. Anyhow, both Chimmanakatti and Devraj Patil had welcomed the CM to contest from Badami,” he defended.
For question whether he is a chief minister post aspirant, Kharge said, “This is an imaginary question. High-command will decide who will be the next chief minister. The likes or dislikes of the state leaders won’t work here.”
