Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy has purchased a second luxury apartment in Bengaluru’s iconic Kingfisher Towers for ₹50 crore. The 8,400-square-foot property, located on the 16th floor, features four bedrooms and five reserved car parking spaces.

This deal sets a record in Bengaluru’s real estate market, priced at ₹59,500 per square foot, one of the highest rates in the city. Murthy bought the apartment from a Mumbai-based businessman, facilitated by Sadhwani Real Estate Holdings.

About Kingfisher Towers

Located in UB City, Bengaluru’s central business district, Kingfisher Towers is a 34-story residential marvel with 81 apartments spread across three blocks on a 4.5-acre site. Originally developed in 2010 by the Prestige Group and Vijay Mallya’s company, the apartments were initially priced at ₹22,000 per square foot.

The tower offers state-of-the-art amenities, including a clubhouse, swimming pools, tennis courts, a luxury salon, and personalized concierge services. It also features a helipad for emergencies. Its strategic location, near Brigade Road, MG Road, and Cubbon Park, adds to its appeal for high-net-worth individuals.

High-Profile Residents

The property houses notable names like Biocon’s Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Karnataka Minister KJ George’s son. Sudha Murty, Murthy’s wife, purchased a flat in the same building for ₹29 crore four years ago.

This deal follows Ajit Isaac’s ₹67.5-crore purchase in Koramangala, Bengaluru’s “Billionaire Street,” earlier this year.
