Bengaluru: One person was killed and three others injured in a road accident near Kengeri in Bengaluru. The police have identified the victim as Parthiban (27), a realtor from Chennai and the injured as Santosh (24), Gautham (27) and Ashok (36). It is said all of them are the victim’s friends.
According to the police, the accident took place while they were returning from Goa to Chennai via Bengaluru. The police said the car in which they were travelling rammed into a median on NICE Road in Kengeri police station limits.
The police said the four friends had decided to take the NICE Road from Tumkuru proceeding towards Electronic City, Hosur Road towards Chennai. The police suspect that driver Santhosh might have slept at the wheel causing the accident. The police said the passersby rushed Parthiban to the nearby BGS Hospital in Kengeri where the doctors declared him brought dead.
A case of accidental death due to rash and negligent driving has been registered at the Kengeri traffic police station and the cops are investigating further.
