Bengaluru: One of the highly anticipated services is door delivery of petrol and diesel. As the first step in this regard, Bharat Petroleum launched online diesel delivery service in the state on Sunday. Two online diesel delivery points have been started in phase one. The service is available only in Bengaluru and Hassan as of now.
The minimum quantity of diesel shall be ordered via online is 100 litres.
In both the places, diesel is supplied using a 6,000-liter capacity tanker. These tankers serve in 100 kilometres radius. According to the authorities, these tankers are specially designed by the Bharat Petroleum which includes fire safety equipment.
According to Kantharaju who has received permission in Hassan, the idea behind the concept is helping the rural industries to get the diesel easily. According to him, the diesel booking can be done online through mobile using a One Time Password provided by the company.
