Bengaluru: Alleging that the BJP is misleading the youth of the country and leaving them confused, former chief minister Siddaramaiah opined that the BJP only knows to distort the history.
“They do not know to speak the truth,” he said while addressing the Congress Foundation Day, on Saturday, December 28 in the city.
Mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ‘Chaukidar’ (watchman) claim, Siddaramaiah questioned that if he is the chowkidar, how he managed to spend crores of rupees on MLAs during the by-elections.
“The PM has and is introducing policies that the country is not in need of. Economic crisis is looming large over the nation, but he prefers not to talk about the same. He is misleading the people of this country and the Congress must not allow this to happen,” he said adding that it is only the Congress party, which has the power and the capability to uproot the BJP.
The former CM said that the BJP has lost five states recently and much against the BJP’s ‘Congress-Mukht Bharat’ call, the voters are actually materialising a ‘BJP Mukht Bharat’.
Taking a jibe at Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, he said that BSY has always made a backdoor entry to the power corridors and this time too he is bound to lose power.
