Abhinav Singh, the 32-year-old Odia singer and engineer, was found dead in his Kadubeesanahalli flat in Bengaluru on Sunday night. Initial reports suggest he took his own life, leading to a suicide investigation by Marathahalli Police.

Family members believe the tragedy stemmed from a dispute with his wife, alleging he was distressed by false accusations made against him. According to reports, Singh may have died after consuming poison. Following a post-mortem, his body was sent to Odisha for final rites.

In a formal complaint lodged by Singh’s father, Bijay Nanda Singh, a case has been filed with Lalbagh Police, naming 8 to 10 people and demanding a thorough investigation. The family claims mental torture by Singh’s wife and others led to the rapper’s distress.

Abhinav Singh, known by his stage name Juggernaut, was a pioneering figure in the Odia rap scene. His Cuttack Anthem and other tracks blended local traditions with modern rap, addressing social issues and celebrating Odia culture. His collaborations, especially with MC Tor (Tanmay Sahoo), significantly contributed to Odisha’s hip-hop movement.
