Bengaluru: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) is expected to visit Amulya Leona’s residence in Koppa, Chikkamagaluru district, on Saturday, February 22, and investigate her parents.

It can be recalled that Amulya Leona was taken into custody for shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” at an anti-CAA protest in Bengaluru on Thursday, February 20 evening,

A team lead by Chickpet ASP Manta Reddy, Upparpet Police Station Inspector Suresh and City Market Police Station Inspector Sathish will be investigating the matter.

According to reports, the team is taking the case very seriously after Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa condemned her act very strongly.

As per the interim reports of the police investigation, Amulya has revealed that there were several ‘God Fathers’ who constantly guided her and that they were the ‘real heroes’. She has accepted that she had been representing them and their ideologies.

It can be recalled that, after slapping a sedition case against Amulya, the police produced her before the 5th ACMM court on the same night.

After going through the matter, the court had remanded her to a 14-day judicial custody.

Meanwhile, activists from a few fringe groups attacked Amulya’s residence in Koppa and warned her father not to sign her bail papers. Her father had also openly criticized Amulya and said that she should be put behind bars for more than six months and not be pardoned.
