Bengaluru: The Kempegowda International Airport, the third busiest airport in the country, would be partially shutdown next year. The runway of the airport would be closed for six-and-half hours every day from February 19 to April 30, 2017, for up-gradation work.

Flights operating between 10.30 am and 5 pm will be rescheduled by airline operators. The up- gradation work is supposed to take place between 10.30 am and 5 pm. This will be the second time the runway is being closed for maintenance. In 2012, the airport closed flight operations between 10.30 am and 5.40 pm from March 11 to April 13.
