Bengaluru: A depressed person who was deserted by wife now sent to judicial custody after he called up the police control room saying a group of women were having bombs to carry out attacks in the city. The incident happened on Saturday.
According to the police, the arrested has been identified as V Sunil Kumar (32). A resident of Nagarabhavi, Sunil was working as car driver abroad till recently. He was under depression as his wife left him.
On Saturday, after consuming liquor at a Srirampura bar, he called up the police saying a group of women were getting ready for a bomb attack near Annapoorneshwari temple of the Annapoorneshwari nagar. The Annapoorneshwari nagar police rushed to the spot with the dog squad. But they didn’t find anything.
When the launched an investigation about the caller, they found that Sunil Kumar had called them. At the time of the inquiry, his father informed the police that he started to hate women after his wife left him and was now suffering from depression.
Police arrested him and sent him to the judicial custody.
