Bengaluru: One person died on spot and another sustained severe head injuries after a truck hit their bike from the rear side on Tuesday night, August 23.
The deceased, who was riding pillion, has been identified as Vidheesha Prakash (20), a native of Hyderabad. The injured is Harsha, also from Hyderabad city. Both are students at a college situated at Yalahanka New Town and residing in PGs in the same area.
The accident occurred when they were returning back from a party hosted by their classmates near MG Road, police said.
Both were rushed to nearby hospital where Vidheesha was declared brought dead. Harsha is undergoing treatment.
The truck driver has been detained and the investigation is on, police said.
