Bengaluru: After Bengaluru grabbed headlines due to a severe water crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the ruling Congress in Karnataka, accusing them of transforming the city from a tech hub into a place reliant on water tankers. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah retorted by highlighting the Prime Minister’s absence during Karnataka’s floods and droughts.

With the upcoming Lok Sabha elections split into two phases, all Bengaluru seats will be contested on April 26. At a recent rally, Modi condemned Congress, labeling them as anti-investment, anti-entrepreneurship, and anti-private sector, while expressing his vision to propel India forward.

Modi pledged to lead India towards becoming a global hub in various sectors like green energy, pharmaceuticals, electronics, electric vehicles, semiconductors, and innovation. He criticized Congress and its allies for focusing on removing him instead of fostering such progress.

Emphasizing the BJP and Janata Dal-Secular’s collaboration to fulfill Karnataka’s aspirations, Modi assured the people of his dedication to realizing their dreams and the nation’s progress, aiming for India’s development by 2047.

Accusing Congress of neglecting Bengaluru’s issues and prioritizing corruption, Modi highlighted the swift progress of central government projects compared to the state’s sluggishness. He warned against the dangers posed by Congress’s ideology, citing recent incidents of violence.

In response, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah questioned Modi’s commitment to the people, citing his absence during crises and accusing him of relying on PR tactics. He also disputed Modi’s claims regarding farmer welfare, pointing out discrepancies in BJP’s governance.

Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP for being anti-farmer and aligned with capitalist interests, urging voters to recognize their true well-wisher in the upcoming election. He highlighted farmers’ demands for MSP guarantees and criticized the government’s policies on seeds and fertilizers.
