Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Campaign Committee president and veteran party leader H K Patil criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party, here on Monday, April 8 for “claiming the credit” for the operations by the security forces at the border and airstrike in Pakistan.
Addressing a programme called ‘Mathu-Manthana’ at the Press Club here, he alleged, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is patting its own back for the job by the security forces and says that it is ‘Modi Force.’ It has made the success of the security operation its political agenda and is misusing the forces.”
Speaking about the violation of code of conduct by the BJP, he ridiculed, “When we ask the Election Commission to investigate into the violations, they write a letter to the President of India. The President hands over the case to the union home minister.”
“If the system of investigation is such and the people who are called as the ‘guardians’ of the constitution involve in such practices, then what purpose dose it serve?”, questioned Patil.
