A police case has been filed against an IndiGo flight attendant following a complaint from a mother who alleged that her five-year-old daughter’s gold necklace went missing during a flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Bengaluru. The incident took place on April 1 aboard IndiGo flight 6E 661, which had a connecting flight to Kolkata.

Priyanka Mukherjee, traveling with her two young daughters, reported that after the flight took off, her children began fighting. A member of the cabin crew, identified as Aditi Ashwini Sharma, offered to help by taking care of the elder daughter. When the aircraft descended into Bengaluru, Mukherjee noticed that her daughter’s gold necklace, weighing around 20 grams, was missing.

She confronted the flight attendant, who denied taking the necklace. After no satisfactory response from the airline and airport authorities, Mukherjee escalated the matter to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the police. However, when police attempted to speak with Aditi, they were informed that she denied the allegation, and there was no CCTV footage available to confirm the incident.

IndiGo has acknowledged the complaint and assured that it is taking the matter seriously, offering full support to the authorities investigating the issue. As the investigation continues, no arrests have been made yet, and the lack of in-flight surveillance footage has made it difficult to gather further evidence.

The situation remains under investigation, with authorities working to resolve the matter.
