Officers and staff at all levels of the department have already received training on the implementation of the BNS Acts. Additionally, the Mysore Police Academy has prepared and distributed a Kannada handbook on the new laws. Police have announced that starting Monday, FIRs will be filed under the BNS Acts.

The new Acts and sections have not only changed the FIR process but also the Police IT website. Alongside FIRs, information about the BNS, BNSS, and BSA Acts will be made available to the public. Sources indicate that the police IT infrastructure has been completely revamped and will be accessible in a new format.

Law college lecturers and retired justices will be trained on which laws apply to specific crimes. Workshops, seminars, training camps, and interactions with legal experts have been conducted to raise awareness about these new Acts. Officials have confirmed that officers from constables to SP/DCP levels have undergone comprehensive training on these new acts over the past one and a half months.
