Bengaluru: The Kalasipalya police arrested one person and recovered gold chains worth Rs 3 lakh from him.
The police have identified the arrested person as Asif (23) of Lawyer Palya near Chandra Layout. The police said that Asif used to snatch gold chains from women in areas such as Jnanabharathi, Raja Rajeswari Nagar and other areas. The police nabbed Asif while he was moving in a suspicious manner near Maramma Temple in Kalasipalya police station limits. It was said that accused was trying to sell a gold chain when the police nabbed him.
With the arrest of Asif, the police have solved six chain snatching cases, four in Jnanabharathi police station limits and two in Raja Rajeswari Nagar police station limits. The police have launched manhunt to nab the other accused.
