Bengaluru: Police arrested four robbers and seized gold chain weighing 84 grams from them.
The accused Nagendra alias Naga, Venkatesh, Vijay Kumar all from Hosur and Basavaraj from Anekal looted people on the pretext of giving them a lift in their car.
On July 27, a software engineer R Karthik had complained to the police that he was robbed by unknown persons who pretended to give him a lift from Electronic city to Hosur. He said that the culprits had threatened him at knifepoint and made away with his mobile, gold chain, two rings and ATM card before leaving him near Attibele service road.
DCP (North-east) M B Boralingaiah said that the accused were habitual offenders and have seven robbery cases registered against them at various police stations in the city.
