New Delhi/Bengaluru: After living in the Congress house for over 46 years and enjoying various responsible positions, former chief minister of Karnataka SM Krishna has launched scathing attack against Congress scion Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, merely a day after joining the BJP formally in New Delhi.
Krishna has alleged Rahul Gandhi of lacking seriousness and has said that politics is more of a ‘part-time job’ for Rahul Gandhi and his casual attitude towards politics has been the main reason behind the Congress debacle.
“The situation is the same with the senior Congress leaders as well. Even they lack that sense of responsibility and seriousness. The party needs massive reformation from the grassroots level if it needs to revive itself. But, nobody seems to be concerned about the same,” said Krishna adding that he had never expected any position from the Congress, but all that he expected was only respect, which he was denied.
“I was sidelined. This humiliation was the only reason behind me quitting the party,” said Krishna specifically stating that in the meantime he was impressed by the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hence he made up his mind to join the BJP.
