Bengaluru: It has been two months since the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Chief’s post is lying vacant.
While the Congress High Command is yet to announce the name of the leader who will head KPCC, trouble-shooter and Congress strongman DK Shivakumar’s fans and supporters have already started celebrations.
Several banners and posters have been put up by DKShi’s supporters congratulating him as the next KPCC Chief.
It may be recalled that KPCC former chief Dinesh Gundurao and Congress Legislative Party Chief Sidddaramaiah had both stepped down from their posts owning responsibility for shameful defeat of the party in the Assembly polls.
However, the Congress high command accepted the resignation of Dinesh Gundu Rao and did not accept the decision of Siddaramaiah to step down.
Stiff competition had cropped up since then between DK Shivakumar and several other Congress leaders who aspired to become the KPC Chief.
It is said that Siddaramaiah himself is against DK Shivakumar’s candidature.
Meanwhile, despite the Congress High Command refraining from making an announcement, the supporters of DKShi putting up banners has left eyebrows raised.
