Bengaluru: On Sunday, January 26, Karnataka will script history when the BBMP’s pourakarmikas will participate in the Republic Day parade in the city.
This is the first time that the pourakarmikas have been included in the Republic Day parade. These pourakarmikas are expected to send the message of “Swachch Bharat” to one and all.
Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala will receive the guard of honour from the pourakarmikas’ and other teams including the KSRP, armed forces, NCC, scouts, guides etc.
A total of 1,750 persons will participate in the parade on Sunday. The parade will have 44 teams and later, over 10,000 students will perform various cultural programmes.
The final rehearsal of the parade was concluded late on Friday, January 24 evening.
