Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested the prime accused in the murder case of renowned scholar and progressive thinker M M Kalburgi.
Based on the information given by Amol Kale, one of the accused in the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh, the SIT arrested Krishnamoorthy in Hubballi.
Reprortedly, Krishnamoorthy was riding the motorcycle on which Ganesh Maskin, who shot Kalburgi, was riding pillion. It is said that the footage recovered from CCTV cameras match with the faces of Ganesh and Krishnamoorthy.
Krishnamoorthy has been brought to Bengaluru from Hubballi and is being interrogated by the SIT.
