PRISM Recording Studios and PRISM Foundation – the International School of Music and Arts, PM Audios & Entertainments celebrates 10 successful years & opens new premises all under one roof.

Recently, the new premises at west of chord road was inaugurated by Dr. C N Ashwath Narayan, former Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka and current MLA for Malleshwaram. In his address to the press and media, he emphasized the significance of music in bridging cultural divides and its therapeutic potential. “Music holds immense power—it transcends language and borders,” he stated. He expressed hope for Dr. Priyadarshini and Mahesh Mahadev, encouraging them to continue mentoring the next generation of musicians and also create innovations in the field of music. He congratulated Ram, founder and chairman of PRISM Foundation and PRISM Recording Studios on this great initiative.

Renowned actor Dharma Keerthiraj also attended the ceremony and praised, stating, “Mahesh and Priyadarshini have always been achieving in their desired fields differently. Their vision and dedication are truly inspiring. I wish PRISM and PM Audios a huge success.”

PRISM Foundation and PRISM Recording Studios was founded in 2014 inside M S Ramaiah Educational Institutions by philanthropist and chemical engineer Ram, co-founded by Dr.Priyadarshini. PM Audios and Entertainments was founded by Mahesh Mahadev in 2014. All three organisations were brought together under one roof and it is run by Mahesh Mahadev and Dr. Priyadarshini.

PRISM Foundation, the International School of Music and Arts has been a trailblazer in music education. It is the first institution in India to offer a structured curriculum in film music, termed “Popular Music,” and also provides “Applied Popular Music” as an open elective for undergraduate students. It offers International and regional music courses for all age groups of aspiring students. Recently it received the Best Educator Award from Trinity College London for its contributions to Western music education over the past decade.”

PRISM Recording Studios has become a premier destination for film music production. The studio is equipped to handle everything from professional recordings to post-production music work which has supported a wide range of projects—from mainstream films to private albums.

PM Audios and Entertainments offers music production, publishing, marketing, and distribution services. It also operates exclusive video streaming channels for regional devotional and music content, catering to the growing demand for digital and OTT platforms.

Dr. Priyadarshini and Mahesh Mahadev are celebrated personalities in the Indian film industry. Dr. Priyadarshini, who has sung in over 190 films in various languages and also being the first playback singer in India to hold a Ph.D doctorate in film music. Mahesh Mahadev’s multilingual compositions in more than 18 languages and raga creations in Indian classical music have garnered international acclaim—including the Best Male Album of the Year 2024 by the International Singers Songwriters Association in Atlanta.

Ram, a Singaporean-Indian chemical engineer and philanthropist, is the driving force behind PRISM. His leadership in establishing the India Engineering Centre for Técnicas Reunidas Ltd. and his passion for music led to the creation of PRISM Foundation and Recording Studios—a platform where education, creativity, and community converge.

The event was presided over by Ram, founder and chairman of PRISM and former Director of Técnicas Reunidas (Indian operations). Dr. Priyadarshini, Mahesh Mahadev, Vice Chairman Sumathi Ram, Sunil Mahadev, Director of Shivashakthi Group, Ramanathan IRS, Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, Prof. Lingaraja Gandhi, Former Vice Chancellor of Bengaluru City University, Prof. Ramaswamy, Dean of University of Mysore, Director Naganna, Ex-MLA NLA Narendra Babu and many other prominent personalities were present.
