Bengaluru: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is scheduled to visit Karnataka on Tuesday, she will address public gatherings in Chitradurga and Bengaluru’s HSR Layout. Her campaign in Bengaluru South constituency will overlap with Union Minister Amit Shah’s roadshow in the same parliamentary segment.
As per the Congress’s Karnataka unit, Priyanka Gandhi will deliver a public speech at the Old Middle School ground in Chitradurga, the district headquarters, at 3 pm. The Congress has nominated B N Chandrappa to contest from Chitradurga against BJP candidate former DCM Govind Karjol.
Following this, Priyanka will travel to Bengaluru to address another public meeting at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Play Ground in HSR Layout, within the Bengaluru South constituency, at 6 pm. She will rally support for Congress candidate and former MLA Sowmya Reddy, who is pitted against current BJP MP and Bharatiya Janata Party Youth Wing president Tejasvi Surya.
Priyanka’s visit coincides with Home Minister Amit Shah’s planned roadshow at Swami Vivekananda Circle in the Bengaluru South constituency during the evening.
