Bengaluru: A surrogate mother, who was four months into pregnancy was assaulted as she declined to share the money paid by a couple to her with the members of a women’s forum. This attack resulted in the miscarriage.
An FIR in this regard has been registered at Begur police station against Prameela and six others who are running a women’s organisation.
According to the police sources, a woman recently agreed to become a surrogate mother after collecting money from a couple. She was staying in a PG in Bommanahalli. On Sunday, a group led by Swathi attacked her alleging that she didn’t give their share from the money she received from a couple. The gruesome attack resulted in miscarriage too.
Police informed that all the accused are absconding now.
