Bengaluru police have busted an alleged prostitution racket operating through spas and a house in different parts of the city, arresting four persons, including three women.
The action was carried out by the Women Protection Wing of Bengaluru Police Central Crime Branch during coordinated raids based on intelligence inputs.
Police said six women who were allegedly forced or induced into prostitution were rescued during the operation.
Raids at multiple locations
According to investigators, illegal activities were allegedly being conducted at spas in Marathahalli and near Sunkadakatte, besides a house in Manjunatha Nagar.
After receiving credible information over several dates, officials raided the identified premises and rescued the women.
Authorities said the accused were allegedly involved in forcing or luring the victims into the illegal trade.
Phone contacts used to lure customers
During questioning, the accused allegedly confessed to contacting men seeking prostitution services over the phone and directing them to spas and the house where the activities were carried out for money.
Police said the operation exposed an organised network functioning across multiple locations in the city.
Cases registered, accused remanded
Cases have been registered at HAL Police Station, Byadarahalli Police Station and Bagalagunte Police Station.
All four accused were produced before court on different dates and remanded to judicial custody.
Focus on victim protection
Police said efforts are continuing to support the rescued women and investigate whether a wider trafficking network was involved.
The case highlights the need for stronger vigilance and rehabilitation support for vulnerable women exploited through such rackets.
