Bengaluru: The CID police on Thursday May 5 has arrested Lingsuguru Deputy Superintendent of Police in Raichur District and a Kalaburagi Division Fingerprint Bureau Circle Police Inspector for their alleged involvement in the Police Sub-Inspectors’ recruitment scam.
DySp Mallikarjun Saali, and CPI Anand Metri were intensely grilled before arrest. They have been produced before the Magistrate after a medical examination at the District Hospital. They have been remanded to CID custody till Thursday May 12.
Five other constables who appeared as in-service candidates have been arrested and have been identified as Gajendra B., Hayyali Desai, Mamathesh Gowda, Somanath Mallikarjunaiah Hiremath and Yashwanth Gowda H.
