PU lecturers threaten to boycott evaluation again

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State PU Colleges Lecturers Association have come up with a set of demands and threatened to boycott evaluation if the same were not met.

According to the Association, a second pay hike to the lecturers was due though the same had been assured by the government in writing.

The Association has also demanded announcement of leave for the whole of April and May, citing that the stipulated 60 days of leave was not being given to them after the academic year to help them refresh and prepare for the next year.

Mathematics lecturers have urged for a reduction in lecture per week schedule from 20 hours to 16 hours and a fixed a batch of only 30 students for practical classes per each session.

The Association has also demanded better position for lecturers who have cleared NET, SLET and PhD.
