Bengaluru: The city traffic police, in order to solve the growing traffic congestion in the city, have decided to ask the general public for help. From now onwards, the public will be allowed to work at the traffic signals and make suggestions to the cops for a half day.
This innovative idea was mooted by city Police Commissioner Bhaskara Rao.
In a tweet, Bhaskara Rao informed, “It’s your Right to demand service from your Traffic Police. Inviting you to spend half a day at any Traffic Junction at any Location with Traffic Police. Then please suggest what improvements, we as Police and other City Stakeholders could do. (sic)”
According to the traffic police, in many places, the locals feel that they can help manage the traffic in a better way. “So, it has been decided to invite the people to join hands with the police,” explained an officer.
