Bengaluru: What can be called as a clear indication of former CM Siddaramaiah’s hold on the affairs related to the Karnataka Congress, AICC president Rahul Gandhi appointed Pushpa Amaranath, former Mysuru Zilla Panchayat president as the new president of KPCC women’s wing.
She is succeeding Lakshmi Hebbalkar, controversial MLA from Belagavi Rural constituency, who is also said to be a close associate of major irrigation minister DK Shivakumar.
According to the sources, RaGa after a one to one interview with two candidates, handpicked Pushpa Amaranath, from Mysuru as the new head of the women’s wing.
She is a known supporter of former CM Siddaramaiah.
