Bengaluru: Based on the recommendation made by the state government, a total of 42,291 Covid-19 patients were treated at the private hospitals across the state. These hospitals have now submitted claims for Rs.169.55 cr.
“Average cost of treatment per patient is Rs.40,091,” said sources in the state health department.
The state government is reimbursing the amount through the Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust, which is the nodal agency of the state health department.
According to the sources in the state government, 50% of the beds in the private hospitals were reserved for Covid-19 patients.
“As per the agreement reached between the state government, these private hospitals are submitting claims,” informed sources in the health department.
