Bengaluru: In connection with the second sexual assault case filed against Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swami, CID sleuths on Thursday, conducted a mahazar at Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt in Girinagar.
The victim, on August 29, filed a complaint along with representatives of Mahila Janavadi Sanghatana at the Girinagar police station, that she was sexually harassed by the seer and that he had raped her in 2006, when she was staying in the math’s hostel in Hosanagar.
The rape case was transferred to the CID as the state agency was already probing another rape case filed against the seer, a year ago by his devotee.
The team of CID officials led by investigating Officer DySP Dharanesh visited the spot around 3.30 pm and inspected it till 7 pm, sources said.
The officials also questioned the staff and locals. They collected some details of the spot, where the artiste alleged that she was sexually assaulted and the entire math was searched. Officials have seized a hard disk and a few other documents from here.
