Bengaluru: AICC President Rahul Gandhi interacted with the pourakarmikas of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) during a programme organised by the party on Sunday, April 8.

Slated to start at around 9.30 and continue till 10.30 am, the event got delayed. To the misfortune of the attendees, the arrangements for the event were made near a drain due to which the entire place began to smell of foul odours but, no efforts were made to prevent the stench. In-spite of knowing about the programme, the City Corporation made no attempts to clean the drain.
Traffic inconvenience
People had to face the wrath of the traffic inconvenience, as several party workers and supporters were gathered at the venue. There is usually a traffic block near Mantri Square, but due to Gandhi’s visit, the traffic inconvenience was amplified.
Interaction with Rahul Gandhi
There was a provision for fifteen questions to be posed to Rahul Gandhi by the pourakarmikas but as the programme was delayed, it was restricted to only five questions. Gandhi also assured the pourakarmikas that he will provide all facilities and stand along with them to respond to their problems.
The Congress supremo also gathered information about the pourakarmikas food, accomodation and their salary.
