Bengaluru: Railway authorities urge passengers to refrain from carrying fire-fighting Materials. In response to recent train fire incidents, the Railways has issued a nationwide appeal to passengers.
Divisional Railway Manager Yogesh Mohan in Bengaluru has urged passengers to refrain from carrying potentially explosive materials, such as gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, kerosene, stoves, matchboxes, cigarette lighters, firecrackers, etc.
He emphasized that carrying firecrackers and flammable items on a train constitutes an offense under the Railways Act. Warning of consequences for violators, he mentioned that the railways had already circulated a directive prohibiting smoking in moving trains and on railway premises.
