Rain ravage: B’luru woman electrocuted

Bengaluru: The heavy downpour witnessed in Bengaluru late on September 27 night has claimed the life of a 60-year-old woman in K R Puram here.

The deceased, identified as Meenamma, a resident of RMS Layout in K R Puram was electrocuted when she tried to switch off the UPS when the rain water entered her house. Local legislator B A Basavaraju visited the spot on coming to know of the incident.

The rains that lasted for few hours resulted in water-logged roads leading to traffic jams. Instances of compound wall collapsing due to the rains were reported from some places such as Chandra Layout, BTM Layout, RPC Layout, R R Nagar, Maruthi Layout etc.
