Bengaluru: With less than 48 hours to go for the voting, the BJP, which suffered major humiliation in Ramanagara with the party candidate Chandrasekar switching over to the rival party Congress has adopted a new technique.

Since Thursday morning BJP cadres are approaching the voters with a new pamphlet requesting them to vote for the party symbol. Pictures of only BS Yeddyurappa, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah are printed on these pamphlets.

“Vote for BJP- Not for Candidate,” is the new slogan adopted by the BJP activists. The BJP activists are covering the constituency with the slogan nation first.

Meanwhile, Congress state leadership is upset with the last minute masterstroke by DKSh, who is being hailed by many as the mastermind behind Chandrashekar’s decision to resign. “This may force the BJP to defend Operation Kamala,” said a party leader.

“In Ramanagar, the JDS was trailing and to help Deve Gowda family, DKS brothers have destroyed the Congress image,” he said.
