The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a detailed spot inspection at the Rameshwaram Cafe on Monday, as part of its ongoing investigation into the recent blast in Bengaluru. This operation involved reconstructing the sequence of events leading up to the explosion, with the NIA bringing along the two main suspects, Abdul Matheen and Musavir Husain, to the scene of the incident.

Security Measures and Investigation Details

To ensure the smooth conduct of the inspection and maintain public safety, over 50 police personnel were deployed around the cafe. This heavy security presence aimed to keep order and safeguard the area while the NIA carried out its work.

The NIA’s investigation into the Bengaluru cafe blast has been comprehensive, involving extensive searches at more than 29 locations across the country. An official from the agency confirmed the details of the spot inspection, stating, “A team of NIA probing the Rameshwaram Cafe blast came here this morning at the cafe for spot inspection along with two of the accused as part of their internal investigation into the case.”

Progress in the Investigation

The NIA took charge of the case on March 3, and by April 12, had arrested the two primary suspects, Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa and Mussavir Hussain Shazib. These individuals were apprehended in Kolkata, where they had been residing under false identities.

In total, the agency has made five arrests in connection with the Rameshwaram Cafe blast. The explosion, which occurred in the Brookfield area of Bengaluru, resulted in injuries to 10 people. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover further details and establish a complete understanding of the incident and its perpetrators.
