Bengaluru: P. Ravi Kumar, who retired as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Karnataka on May 31, has been appointed as the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) Chairman.
He is the 1984 batch IAS Officer.
Kumar and several other senior retired officers had applied for this post. A Selection Committee chose Ravi Kumar for the post.
KERC decides the electricity fare in the State besides several other statutory powers.
