Bengaluru: Urban development minister U T Khader has announced that he is ready to quit the cabinet and make a sacrifice for the cause of the party.

Khader, who met former CM Siddaramaiah, AICC Karnataka in-charge KC Venugopal and other senior leaders of the party in the city informed that he is ready to make way for the other leaders to save the coalition government.

“I am here because of the party. No individual is bigger than the party. So, I informed that I am ready to quit the party,” he said.

If the sources in the Congress are to be believed, the party may drop Khader, Jayamala, Priyank Kharge, Krishnabairegowda and other loyal party leaders to accommodate the rebels.
