Somwarapet: It was a unique convocation, never witnessed before! Most graduates were under 12 years of age and all dressed in Red! Astronomers, Jurists, Doctors , Engineers and from every other profession (of future) were present with their mentors.
Believe it or not! It was graduation day at Our Lady of Victory School (OLV) in Somwarpet. Coordinator from the Education Department Ramachandra Murthy gave away the convocation certificates to all the meritorious “graduates” on the occasion.
Impressed by the ceremony, he wished other schools emulated the concept!
Principal Sr. Rashmi presided over the function in which cluster resource person Lakshmi, Principal Sr. Flora from the high school section accompanied by Julie Lawrence were present on the occasion.
Parents’ joy had no bounds as their children ran towards them holding certificates in their hands. Few were seen holding multiple medals.
The colonial past came alive with sun shining brightly on the “Red Army”, which is ready to take over, to make the event memorable!
