Bengaluru: A statement issued by former minister G Janardhana Reddy against former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has led to a massive controversy across the state, on Tuesday, October 30.
All started with Reddy alleging that Siddaramaiah’s elder son Rakesh Siddaramaiah met untimely death because of the sins committed by Siddaramaiah while ruling the state.
He alleged that Siddaramaiah personally targetted him. “Rakesh’s death is the punishment given by the Gods to Siddaramaiah. Even after this loss, he continues to sin,” he said.
Reddy’s reference to Rakesh’s death led to a massive controversy with several criticizing him for his inhuman statement. Reddy justified by stating that Siddaramaiah followed anti-Hindu policies for which God has given him an appropriate punishment.
But a few minutes later, Siddaramaiah hit back at Reddy through a tweet. In a tweet, Siddaramaiah stated that let God not punish Reddy’s children for his sins. He blamed Reddy for the creation of the Republic of Ballari and looting the state by several lakhs crores which is reflected in the Lokayukta’s report.
