Bengaluru: The resident doctors in the State have warned of going on an indefinite strike beginning Monday November 29. The strike has been mainly planned to protest against the non-payment of Covid – 19 risk allowances.
Karnataka Association of Resident Doctors (KARD) siad that they have not yet received the allowances which was announced to be given from April 2021.
It can be recalled that the resident doctors had gone on strike over non-payment of dues on November 9. It was later called after Health Minister Dr. Sudhakar assured them that the issues will be resolved within 10 days, which was however not to be.
KARD warned that this time the strike will affect working of out-patient departments and elective surgeries too.
