Bengaluru: Delhi is not alone when it comes to the increasing air pollution. According to the Real Time Air Quality Index for the Bengaluru city, on November 8, Peenya area of the city witnessed Air Quality Index (AQI) of 177, which as per the division of the AQI is unhealthy.
According to the parameters adopted while considering the AQI of 0-50 is normal while 51- 100 is less polluted. AQI of above 101 -200 is considered as unhealthy.
But compared to New Delhi, it is very less as New Delhi has recorded AQI of 900+.
According to the Real Time Air Quality Index data, in city railway station the AQI was 130 on Wednesday. It was just 80 in BTM layout while 40 in Sanegoranahalli.
