Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty were recently spotted at a Third Wave Coffee outlet in Bengaluru. The couple was seen placing orders at the counter and later sitting at a table, where they happily posed for selfies with fellow patrons. Sunak, 44, was dressed in his signature white shirt and black trousers, while Akshata Murty wore a simple pastel kurta.
Earlier in the week, the couple, along with Akshata’s parents, Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and philanthropist Sudha Murty, visited the Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. The family participated in rituals and sought blessings from Guru Raghavendra during the auspicious month of Kartik. Sudha Murty was seen donating cash on behalf of the family.
Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty, who met while studying at Stanford University, have two daughters, Anoushka and Krishna. Although their Bengaluru visit has not been publicly detailed by the couple on social media, they have previously been seen in the city, including a visit to the iconic Corner House for ice cream earlier this year.
The Murthys have strong ties to Bengaluru, with Narayana and Sudha Murty being longtime residents of the city.
