Bengaluru: Creating history of sorts, Shreyas Hosur, becomes the First Civil Servant from the Stare to complete the gruelling ‘IRONMAN’ Triathlon. This triathlon is considered to be the toughest single day sports event in the world as it includes 3.8 km Swim, 180 km Cycling and 42.2 km Running.
Shreyas completed the event in 13 hrs, 26 mins on June 5, 2022, in Hamburg, Germany. The finishers of the event are popular as IRONMAN befitting theit mental and physical strength the race demands!
Starting the 3.8 km Swim at 6.30 am in the chilly waters of the Hamburg lake, it was followed by 180 km long cycling in the countryside, Shreyas ended a full marathon of 42.2 kms.
2012 batch officer, Shreyas serves as Deputy Financial Advisor with South Western Railway in Bengaluru.
