Bengaluru: Amid the Karnataka political crisis and tension of saving the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition, ‘troubleshooter’ of coalition and State Water Resource Minister has something to rejoice.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to name a road which comes under the Rajarajeshwari Nagar area as ‘Dodda Aaladahalli Kempegowda’, father of DKShi. This road leads to Global Academy of Technology College.
Global Academy of Technology College is under the ownership of DKShi.
The matter on this was discussed in a meeting of BBMP that was held on July 30, 2018.
The BBMP has announced that if any individual feels it is objectionable then they can file an objection application to its office by August 4.
The memorandum was made ready in July 2018 under the then Mayor of BBMP Sampath Raj. As his term ended, he had passed the memorandum in the BBMP council meeting.
Sampath Raj had said that DKShi’s father had immensely contributed towards the students who come from rural areas by providing them free education in an engineering college that he had built.
Meanwhile, the opposition party in the BBMP has raised an objection claiming that it was nothing but an attempt to please DKShi.
