A disturbing video depicting a road rage incident in Bengaluru has circulated widely across social media platforms. The footage captures a man on a scooter attacking a car, occupied by a couple and their three-year-old daughter.
Allegedly, the altercation ensued after the scooter failed to overtake the hatchback, leading to the aggressive behavior.
Akhil Sabu, an IT professional from Kerala, lodged a police complaint against the accused, identified as Jagadish, for allegedly shattering the car’s glass window, resulting in injury to the child. Authorities have apprehended Jagadish, a local resident, in connection with the incident.
Initially shared by Sabu on social media, the incident reportedly occurred on Sarjapur main road.
The video footage from CCTV cameras depicts the scooterist intercepting the Hyundai i10 carrying the family. In attempts to evade, the car is struck by the scooterist’s helmet. Despite briefly halting, the car is targeted again by the accused. Subsequently, Sabu intervenes, confronting the scooterist physically.
This incident adds to a series of road rage occurrences in Bengaluru in recent months. In a prior case, three individuals were arrested following a woman’s video showing them tailing a car on a scooter, banging on its windows, and attempting to open its doors.
