Rowdy hacked to death in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A habitual offender was hacked to death by unidentified men at Nanjappa Layout near the Yelachenahalli metro station on Monday. The incident happened when Kumar, who has murder, attempt to murder and other cases registered against him, came to Nanjappa Layout for some work in the evening.

According to the police, five men confronted Kumar, threw chilli powder on him and chased him for a kilometre before attacking him. He died on the way to hospital. The Kumaraswamy Layout police have registered a case and suspect personal rivalry to be the reason for the murder.

Man dies in road accident

A man died and two were injured when a goods carrier transporting chickens rammed into a stationary lorry on the Outer Ring Road at Ramamurthynagar in the early hours of Monday. The carrier was heading towards Nagawara from Kolar. While two helpers in the goods carrier escaped with minor injuries, its driver, Jafarullah, 44, who sustained severe injuries, was declared as brought dead at a nearby hospital.

The deceased hailed from Mulabagal in Kolar district.
