Rowdy sheet to be re-opened on Kampli MLA JN Ganesh

Bengaluru: After the brawl between MLAs Anand Singh and JN Ganesh, it is now learnt that the Ballari police will soon re-open a rowdy sheet against the latter.

It may be recalled that a fight had taken place between the two MLAs, who were lodged in Eagleton Resort in Bengaluru, fearing Operation Kamala. In the fight Singh was brutally injured and is still undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bengaluru. Though the Congress party had initially denied the claims of a fight between two sitting MLAs, it was later out in open.

What was shocking was that Ganesh, who got elected to the Assembly from Kampli Constituency (Ballari) had been a rowdy-sheeter for eight years (between 2008-2015) and had contested on Congress ticket when the same was lifted.

Speaking about the same, Home Minister MB Patil said that the rowdy sheet will be automatically reopened as Ganesh is facing attempt to murder case. “There is no way that the fugitive would be shielded. Ramanagara police have formed three special teams to nab him,” the Home Minister said.

Amidst all the developments, absconding MLA Ganesh has put up a Facebook post claiming that he is innocent.
