Rs. 2.57 crores collected from those found not wearing masks in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Between April 1 and 29, Rs.2.57 crores were collected from those who found not wearing masks in the city.

The fine amount has been collected from 17,362 cases in which people found violating the norms. The fine amount was collected from hotels, malls, and other public places.

The BBMP launched a drive to fine people who failed to wear masks and violated other Covid – 19 appropriate behaviour which is in force across the state. The city police also seized over 2,000 vehicles on Saturday May 1 for violating the curfew rules and roaming without any valid reasons.
