Bengaluru: A scientist recently approached the Baiyappanahalli police, alleging that Rs 6.20 lakhs was stolen from his house. He has named two of his housemaids as the suspects.
The scientist, who is working with the DRDO, approached the police and informed that he had kept a total of Rs.10 lakh in his cupboard for his kidney transplantation, of which, the thieves took Rs 6.20 lakhs.
He told police that, he discovered that the money was missing on March 16, while he was getting ready to go to the hospital for treatment. He had drawn the money from the bank only a few days prior to the incident.
The police have launched an investigation in this regard.
